Dr Katherine and her side-kick, Ringo, did a bit of bull sample testing this week- through electro-ejaculation the semen is collected, and then examined through a high-powered microscope. The sperm is assessed in accordance with speed and motion (progressively forward motile - PFM tested), and then sent off to be morphology assessed.

If you would like to book in for bull testing, please phone our Maffra Veterinary Centre on 5147 1177

Introducing a few beautiful little clients from this week- we've had Simbad, Spot, Wynnie, and Bonnie!

They were all very well behaved, especially Simbad who was a bit hesitant at having his photo taken at first but later turned into a little star. We just love seeing friendly little faces every day! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Christmas Gift Cards are now available for purchase at our Sale and Maffra Veterinary Hospitals!
$5 per 10 pack. All proceeds go to the Fur Life Foundation, to help animals in need.Apiam supports our farming communities and improves animal welfare in indigenous communities through our Fur Life Foundation

The Fur Life Foundation helps to enrich the lives of people and animals in need through our partnerships with local and national charities.

Fur Life Foundation has partnered with two well-established charities - Rural Aid and Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC).

Rural Aid provides a holistic support program to rural Australians to lend a helping hand when times are tough with support via various project initiatives including Buy-a-Bale.

AMRRIC coordinates veterinary and education programs in remote Indigenous communities to enhance outcomes in dog management, health and control in remote Indigenous communities.

We will also continue to support local charities in the communities in which we serve.

Congrats to the Fur Life Foundation Committee on putting together such a great initiative.

You can donate to the Fur Life Foundation at any of our Fur Life Vet Clinics situated throughout regional Australia. We also have some pretty neat Fur Life Foundation Christmas cards you can purchase at our Vet Clinics with 100% of the funds raised going direct to Fur Life Foundation.
